Taking your children on motorhome holidays just sounds like a excellent method to invest a week or two. Pack up and organize all of your stuff just the way you would like it in your personal small house on wheels. Have all your personal blankets and towels that remind you of house with you.

The benefits to a driving holiday over flying seem endless. If you take a recreational vehicle you can usually save a lot more money especially if you have a few kids, flights are expensive. The scenery is always so nice to look at and your kids will learn so much more when they have the time to look around. Stopping is a benefit as you can do it when ever and how ever much you want. Plus kids really like to have their stuff it seems to take some of the stress out of traveling.

One of the best parts of having your trailer with you is the simple fact that you can bring all your own food which will take away a major expense. Eating out in restaurants at least three times a day is very expensive and can be very fattening. Plus it can be pretty stressful to try and find a good restaurant and if kids are really hungry all of a sudden it can create a lot of tension with the risk of destroying the holiday.

Who can remember all of the games that they played within the back seat when vacationing. You will find so numerous to select from that there might be a constant stream for days using the traditional eye spy for that small ones and also the a lot more physical games for example punch buggy hit for that large ones. Then there’s usually mom and dads preferred game that only becomes a lot more enjoyable with each passing hour, the quiet game.

When vacationing on the vehicular holiday it can tend to become a bit longer to permit for that driving time. Some individuals who only get set amount of days a year they can holiday might see this like a serious downfall. But an additional method to appear at it will be truly great bonding time that you just would not get from flying.

Flights are so fast and hectic that they are usually quite stressful for families traveling together. Having to do airport security on a normal day alone is not much fun but when you throw kids into the mix it could make it ten times more annoying.

A motorhome holiday is the most fun way for a family to travel and the kids will probably see and do more. The bonding experience is priceless and that is worth is all by itself even if there was not even one more benefit.

Ultimate Vacation

19 June 2010

Most people go on holiday every year to enjoy different culture or just to relax their mind. From UK approximately 50% of population go on holiday every year and it might even be more than that. Several people go on various types of holidays, vacations or cruises. Some prefer going on luxury cruises vacations and some look for cheap holidays near Europe with their friends and family.

What would be your ideal holiday?

Mostly people from the UK go to Europe for a heavy weekend away, as it is cheaper and also has better weather. Heavy weekend meaning weekend which is full of drinks, sun and dancing. Some just go for that and nothing else. They like visiting places with good warm weather as in the UK we hardly have sunshine. Places like Ibiza, Athens, Barcelona, Mallorca and Istanbul are filled with British tourists. But some people like to go on a cruise to Bahamas and the Caribbean islands.

Age factor also plays a massive part on choosing a certain type of holiday. It is true that young people like to go to places where there is a fabulous night out along with beautiful weather. Whereas people with family like to go to different places where not only they can enjoy but so can their children: an example would be Paris or Florida for Disney land. There is nothing wrong with this Disney land can be fun for adults too as I have been there and I had a fantastic time.

From my experience when I was single I would like to go to places where I can enjoy few drinks with my friends and also relax on the beach the next day. I am 43 now with 2 kids and to be honest these days I prefer somewhere quite or a lovely cruise holiday to Bahamas but my children insist we should go to Disney land every year I don’t think I can handle the rides nowadays. We have tried MSC cruises and Windstar cruises in the past and they were fantastic.

Situated in the mouth of the Firth of Clyde the Isle of Arran is commonly referred to as “Scotland in miniature”.  Like the country of Scotland the island of Arran has varied scenery and a diverse range of flora and fauna, Arran has moors, glens, rocky coves, lochs, sandy beaches and even features a lowlands and highlands region. Completing the likeness Arran also has ancient standing stones, castles, a brewery, a distillery, museums and superb local produce and crafts. The Isle of Arran is a terrific destination for a vacation, especially for tourist who enjoy rambling or similar. In the following article I introduce Arran tourist attractions and a quick examination of hotel accommodation on Arran.

Brodick Castle

Brodick Castle is an impressive red sandstone structure which at one time was the property of the dukes of Hamilton. Found outside the town of Brodick, encompassed by extremely pleasant gardens and parks the castle is built upon the site of an old Viking fortress. Visiting Brodick Castle is a superb day out for all of the family children will thoroughly enjoy the adventure playground while older family members will enjoy the castle’s impressive collection of silver, works of art and porcelain. Roughly two hours can be spent visiting the castle.

Arran Heritage Museum

Arran Heritage Museum is located, on the site of a small school, in Rosaburn, Brodick and opens from April to October from 10:30am to 4:30pm. Featuring a collection buildings; a smiddy (blacksmith), cottage, farmhouse and croft plus milk house, stable, laundry, coach house and harness room and more. Exhibits reflect the geology, archaeology and social history of the island.

Isle of Arran Distillery

Wherever you go in Scotland it seems as though are never any great distance away from something to do with the whisky industry such as a whisky distillery. The Isle of Arran Distillery uses traditional techniques in the newest working distillery in the country. The distillery is open to tourists from April to October and it has a restaurant and visitor centre.

Isle of Arran Brewery

The Isle of Arran Brewery is located next to entrance of Brodick Country Park.  Folk can view the process of brewing from viewing gallery and observation windows as well as getting a sample of the produce. The brewery utilises high-tech equipment to brew an ale using traditional ingredients without artificial additives.

Lochranza Castle

The final Arran visitor attraction I wish to talk about is Lochranza Castle situated on the North Coast. On first look it appears little more than a ruined 16th century tower-house but it is possible to get inside using keys from the Post Office (which is also the local shop). Once inside the L-plan tower you begin to see hints of a grand structure.

Accommodation On The Isle of Arran

Finding the best accommodation on the Isle of Arran shouldn’t be much of a problem as hotels on the Isle of Arran can be found in most of the main villages and towns (Brodick, Blackwaterfoot and Lamlash all have the minimum of 1 hotel as well as guesthouse accommodation). Places to look out for include the Glenisle Hotel and the Lamlash Bay Hotel (in Lamlash), the Auchrannie Spa Resort (in Brodrick,) and the Best Western Kinloch Hotel (in Blackwaterfoot) which all have an excellent reputation.

Until as recently as thirty years ago Playa Blanca was still a small fishing village – long after the development of resort rivals Puerto del Carmen and Costa Teguise to the north.  Serving as a port from where ferries cross the Bocaina Straits to Fuerteventura, the neighbouring Canary Island.  But its great climate and beaches soon caught the eye of developers – and building work started in earnest during the 1990´s.  Resulting in a host of new hotel and villa developments.

Visitors arriving by plane and viewing the resort from the air will note that Playa Blanca basically comprises three bays set within one much larger cove.  And tourist visitors today can now enjoy a relaxing stroll from one end of the resort to the other.  Thanks to the fact that a delightful promenade now runs the entire length of Playa Blanca from the Faro de Pechuguera lighthouse to the outer reaches of the beaches at Papagayo.

Holiday villas in Playa Blanca have become very popular with tourists over the last few years, as they offer decent value for money.  And are the best choice during the winter months when the climate here is more favourable than elsewhere on the island.

Holiday villas in Playa Blanca are also in plentiful supply making rental accommodation here cheaper than in the other resorts.  And all of these properties boast plenty of luxury extras such as private swimming pools, satellite TV and hot tubs. As well as internet connections for those who need to stay online even when on holiday, making them an ideal choice for families ar even a relaxing romantic holiday for two.

Whilst many guests find it hard to leave the poolside during their stay there are some great beaches around the resort to explore.  Such as the small town beach of Playa Blanca (the resorts namesake), Playa Dorada and Playa Flamingo.   As well as the real star of the show – the stunning set of coves and bays of Papagayo (parrot in Spanish).  Which take just fifteen minutes to reach on foot from the centre of the resort.  The islands number one tourist attraction, the Timanfaya Volcano Park, is also just a short drive away.  And is an absolute must see for anyone visiting Lanzarote.
